Charlie Homo, Kathleen's husband, serves on the board of trustees in her honor, providing advice and support for the fund's management and initiatives.
Charles (Charlie) Michaelis has 30 years of experience evaluating climate change policies and programs. He has conducted over 100 evaluations on energy efficiency in industry, buildings, lighting, and appliances, as well as on renewables and demand-side response. Charles is skilled in various evaluation and data analysis techniques, believing that evidence and analysis can always improve program effectiveness, even with limited resources.
Melanie (Mel) Slade worked with Kathleen at the International Energy Agency from 2017-2020. She has spent thirty years in energy efficiency policy, beginning with the UK Government. Since 2014, Melanie has managed the Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies Programme at the International Energy Agency, collaborating with policymakers in countries such as Brazil, China, India, and Mexico to enhance energy efficiency policies. Mel shared much in common with Kathleen as a mentor providing guidance to others in the energy efficiency community.
Jesse Glicker worked with Kathleen at the IEA, where Kathleen served as a mentor early in her energy efficiency career. Jesse has since continued to specialize in energy efficiency, with a focus on the buildings sector, and is dedicated to European and international policy, innovation, and financing.
Kevin Cooney has over 30 years experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, and renewable energy. He has worked on portfolio design, regulatory strategy, and investment analysis in various cultures. Kevin previously led the global DSM practice at Navigant, served as CEO of Summit Blue Consulting, and managed the research team at ESource. He currently serves as a Director on the boards of TriState Governance & Transmission and San Miguel Power Association.
